Evidence-Based Security

This course will introduce students to the scientific method and build an appreciation of how this rigorous method can be used to understand both the social and technological aspects of cyber-risk and cybersecurity. Elements of cyber-risk/cybersecurity will be examined from the point of view of confidentiality, integrity, availability, risk, adversarial thinking, and systems thinking. A strong emphasis will be placed on communication and collaborative discovery.
