Cortona Experience: Design Intensive

This course introduces design research processes and methods, focusing on creative and critical thinking within an international context. Students familiarize themselves with design discourse and frameworks through lectures, readings, and assignments. Using these methods, students create project and product proposals or prototypes that connect to specific local social, cultural, and geographic contexts. The course provides an opportunity to work in interdisciplinary groups on projects that address real-world problems and explore new processes of creativity. Not available to students who have completed the Storytelling through Design and Across Cultures: Contextualizing Art and Design topics of FCD 230.
