Early Learning Centre (ELC)

A centre that provides care for children between the ages of 18 months to five years. The ELC is associated with the School of Early Childhood Studies, within the Faculty of Community Services and is available to Students, Staff and Faculty.

Childcare services 

To apply to the ELC:

  • Add your information to the waitlist by calling the centre to complete a wait list form.
  • Review the  (PDF file) waitlist policy for guidelines.

Submitting the application form does not guarantee your child will be offered a space in the program, however the ELC works to offer space to as many families as possible. Admission to the ELC program is on a first-come, first-served basis with priority reserved for TMU students, faculty and staff.

The Early Learning Centre is in partnership with the City of Toronto child care subsidy program through Children's Services (external link) . Families are encouraged to contact the City of Toronto to determine if they may qualify for child care subsidy.
