Elaine MacPhail is a consultant, specializing in patient involvement in the drug review process.  She retired from the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) after 12 years in a number of positions.  She was involved in the development and implementation of procedures and processes for the Common Drug Review (CDR) at CADTH; served as a Director of the CDR during which time she provided support to drug reviews and the Canadian Expert Drug Advisory Committee; worked on processes for engagement of public members on the CADTH expert drug advisory committees; and played a key role in developing and supporting the CDR patient group input process.  Elaine has also previously worked with publicly funded drug plans in formulary management and supporting expert advisory committees.
