Do you know any kids interested in architecture? Building houses like this one, above, is just one of the many options at TMU summer camps.

There’s still time to register kids for the fun and engaging summer camps that are taking place on campus.

TMU is offering many different camp options throughout the summer that blend learning opportunities with fun. Check out a few options below:

Architecture camp

Kids from 9 to 13 will get interactive experience in building and design. Each week-long camp, whose curriculum has been designed by award-winning TMU prof Vincent Hui, has a different theme. Campers will get the chance to bring home a special project at the end of the week that they helped develop. Architecture camp is running throughout July and August.

Fun with food!

Campers aged 8-12 who love cooking will get the chance to build their skills and have fun while doing it. The Fun With Food camp is located in TMU’s state-of-the-art kitchen. Kids plan and prepare daily meals alongside a registered dietitian and graduate students from TMU’s School of Nutrition. Fun With Food Camps are offered on two skill levels throughout July.

Digital creativity

The Department of Architectural Science and Department of Recreation have teamed up to offer a one-week camp on graphic design. Campers will learn important fundamental skills from Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Attendees will get to keep their projects at the end of the week. The Digital Creativity camps were also designed by Professor Hui and will run in the second half of August.

Bold sport camps

Campers get the chance to work with TMU Bold athletes to refine their skills in volleyball and hockey. TMU’s Sports Camps have been running as part of the Day Camp program for more than 40 years and there’s something for every type of athlete at all experience levels.
