Does your business need legal assistance?

If you own a small business or plan to start up a business and you are a TMU student / a Chang School learner / affiliated with TMU learning zone (e.g., DMZ, DFZ, Fashion Zone, LIZ), you may be eligible for this service.

Limited spots are available. Successful applicants will receive support throughout the academic year (September 2025 to April 2026).

The services are provided free of charge by Ted Rogers School of Management Law & Business undergraduate students, who are supervised by qualified lawyers from various law firms. Services may include, for example, assistance with:

· choice of legal structure for business;
· incorporating the business and preparing minute book documents;
· drafting contracts with suppliers and clients (e.g. sales and service, website terms and conditions);
· drafting non-disclosure agreements;
· employment law issues and consulting agreements;
· regulatory compliance (e.g. privacy law);
· intellectual property issues, such as business name, trade-marks and copyright
