As the days get shorter and the weather gets colder, there is one thing to look forward to: TMU Frost!
All TMU students, faculty and staff are invited to take part in the 2024 Holiday Festival and enjoy some on-campus merriment before the end of term. This year’s event will take place on Tuesday, December 3rd from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
Bring your One Card to Gould Street and indulge in a full line-up of free snacks, entertainment and photo-ops.
On the menu
This year, TMU is partnering with Balzac’s to bring you their Hot Apple Cider Experience tent. Visit the tent and sip your choice of ciders: Apple Crumble Pie, Winterberry or Nutty Cinnamon.
Turn up the heat with Halal beef chili or vegan chili, served with a side of cornbread, from TMU Eats. The university eatery will also have an assortment of holiday shortbread cookies and warm mini cinnamon rolls for dessert.
Need to chill out? The Pop Stand is bringing their homemade popsicles back to campus. This year’s flavours include: salted caramel affogato, gingerbread cookie with eggnog, and peach raspberry lemonade.
Sights and sounds
After grabbing snacks, lace up a pair of rental ice skates and glide across Lake Devo.
If you’re more comfortable on the solid ground, opt to watch the TMU Superstars perform, with a full lineup of singers, musicians and figure skaters.
New this year is the Frosted Layers photo station, created by master of digital media graduate student, Angelina Almanza (external link) . Stop by the social media worthy installation for a selfie or a group pic.
Finally, if you need reprieve from the frosty air, head inside The Image Centre for a guided tour of the Image Centre, including works by Gabrielle Tyrie (external link) .
