A highlight of Orientation Week is TMU’s annual world record attempt. Previous years saw students attempt to beat the records for most bubble gum bubbles, largest Macarena dance and loudest scream.

End the summer in style and kick-off the school year with hundreds of potential new friends at Toronto Metropolitan University’s (TMU) Orientation Week.

From August 25 to 30, 2024, first-year students are invited to join a fun-filled week of events, activities and opportunities designed to help you settle in and prepare for university life.

With over 100 events planned across campus, O-Week offers a chance to meet new friends, explore on-campus services and student clubs, get a feel for life in the heart of downtown and learn how to make the most of your time at TMU.

Events include concerts and performances, movie nights, scavenger hunts, workshops, crafts and more. New and returning students will also come together on Gould Street throughout the week for street fairs and festivals featuring student vendors, campus organizations, music and entertainment.
