Shawna Rooke, a nursing lecturer in the Faculty of Community Services, passed away on Nov. 5, 2023.

Jose Santos, retired caretaker, passed away on April 12, 2023.

Thomas Schneider, an accounting professor, passed away on June 3, 2023.

Rustum J. Sethna, retired psychology professor, passed away on Sept. 10, 2023.

Kristin Smith, social work professor, passed away on Oct. 19, 2023.

John (Jack) Stafford, retired from UA, Advancement Services, passed away on Feb. 16, 2023.

Victoria Stevenson, retired from student records, passed away on Aug. 17, 2023.

Steve Trumper, instructor in the School of Journalism, passed away on January 4, 2023.

Dave Upham, retired photographer from University Relations, passed away on Feb. 23, 2023. 

Helen Vari passed away on March 16, 2023. She was a generous supporter of TMU with her husband, the Honourable George W. Vari (who passed away in 2010), particularly the university’s Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS).

George Voulgaris, retired caretaker, passed away on June 7, 2023.

Douglas White, retired professional communications professor, passed away on April 12, 2023.

Wade Pfaff, a student in the joint York and TMU communication and culture PhD program, died June 9, 2023.

Vasili Photopoulos, a fourth-year student in the occupational health and safety program, died Aug. 6, 2023.

Ryan Reesor, a student in the public administration and governance program, died May 17, 2023.
