Letter of Intent for a new Bachelor of Science in Cyber Science
The TMU community is invited to offer feedback on a proposed Bachelor of Science in Cyber Science, as part of the Faculty of Science.
Toronto Metropolitan University’s (TMU) Faculty of Science has put forward a letter of intent (LOI) proposing a Bachelor of Science in Cyber Science. The LOI will be available online for review until April 23 to allow for the customary review period of 30 days.
Cyber science is a multidisciplinary field of study, informed by concepts from technology, business, law, ethics, policy and human behaviour. Housed within the Faculty of Science, the Cyber Science program would be developed in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science, the Department of Information Technology Management, the Department of Criminology, and the Lincoln Alexander School of Law, to become a unique undergraduate offering. The program would explore the intersections among the technical, societal and business aspects of cybersecurity.
More information on the proposed program can be found in the LOI.
Please review the LOI and provide feedback and comments by emailing provost@torontomu.ca before April 23, 2023.
Thank you in advance for your review and input.
