Student Wellbeing has launched an expanded Make-Up Test Centre to meet the increasing needs of faculty and students. Funded by the Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic, the Make-Up Test Centre will provide a greater allocation of physical test space, offer an updated registration system, and decrease scheduling wait times. The first available make-up test date is Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Bookings can be made as of today.

Increased capacity

The Make-Up Test Centre will expand its physical test space by way of four rooms in Kerr Hall East, each with a capacity of at least 80 students. Student Wellbeing expects that 640 tests per day will be able to be administered thanks to the additional space, a significant increase from 70-90 tests per day prior to the upgrade.

Improved efficiency

Throughout the planning process, familiarity and efficiency were key considerations for both Ryerson faculty and students. In addition to physical space, an improved registration system is available for make-up test booking use. The system is accessible via your my.ryerson login.

Faculty

For faculty members, the registration system includes a multi-request capability, whereby faculty may book a make-up test date for multiple students on the same date at the same time. Faculty can also submit their exams at the same drop-off location as previously requested. In addition, all time allocations to approve booking requests will remain the same as previously mandated.

Students

Students should note that all Make-Up Test Centre rules of conduct ( (PDF file) Senate Policy 60,  (PDF file) Senate Policy 61) remain the same despite the expansion. Students will still need to work with their professors to receive official confirmation and approval of a make-up test booking, as well as bring their Ryerson One Card to all scheduled make-up tests.

The Make-Up Test Centre also has a dedicated, full-time coordinator to ensure that operations continue with utmost integrity, security and efficiency for both faculty and students. In addition, 30 exam invigilators will be hired solely to oversee make-up tests and exams.
