I am pleased to announce that Donna Bell, manager, student records, in the Office of the Registrar, has been appointed secretary of the Ryerson University Senate. Donna’s three-year appointment is effective July 2, 2018.
Donna first came to Ryerson in 2003 as an instructor in the then Faculty of Business, retail management program, a position she held until 2015. In 2005, Donna became the first officer of the Academic Integrity Office. In that role, Donna ensured the fair and transparent compliance with Policy 60 and provided support and resources to individuals from across the university in navigating the policy.
Donna brings experience with policy development and management from her current role as manager of student records in the Office of the Registrar. Donna oversees a team that provides advice and guidance to faculty, instructors, academic administrators and academic support staff on policies and procedures regarding a student’s record. The office is also responsible for the integrity of the students’ official transcripts and the academic continuance process.
Donna holds a bachelor of arts from McGill University as well as a master of arts in educational studies from Concordia University.
