The Ryerson Market returns on May 16 for another season of weekly outdoor lunch fare, fresh seasonal produce, locally made food and other goodies.
Every Wednesday from May 16 to Sept. 26 (except for August 29 and September 5 during orientation), small food businesses and farms will set up shop on Gould Street between Bond and Victoria with an array of delicious lunch options, local produce and more.
Now in its sixth year, the market - a collaboration between Ryerson University Business Services and Appletree Markets (external link) - has helped make the campus a vibrant summertime destination. And this year, the market is also bigger than ever, with more than 20 vendors to choose from.
The Ryerson Urban Farm (external link) (which grows produce on the Andrew and Valerie Pringle Environmental Green Roof above the George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre) will return, along with Albion Hills Farm, De La Mer (salmon burgers!), Green Geek, House of Empanadas, Marigolds Maple Syrup, and many more. And students, faculty and staff will want to try new vendors La Fiesta (Mexican fare) and Tchitchinga (barbecue chicken) and Fleurishes by Juju (wildflowers).
