Mohammad Kashif
Mohammad Kashif is a final-year Computer Engineering undergrad. His passion for deep learning and computer vision has been cultivated throughout his undergraduate studies. He is intrigued by how machines can interpret visual information and how deep learning has revolutionized this field. To further his interest, he delved into various deep-learning research works.
From June to August 2023, he was an MITACS Global Research Intern at Toronto Metropolitan University. His research focused on developing a real-time apparatus for detecting C. elegan worms in fluids and abdominal organ image registration approaches for the treatment of cancer. This experience allowed him to engage with other researchers in the field and learn about the latest trends and methodologies in deep learning.
In the past, his deep learning research has spanned various topics, including image steganography, medical image segmentation, satellite image super-resolution, multimodal hate speech detection, and Net Asset Value forecast. Apart from my academics, he enjoys playing chess and cricket.
