Celebrating Inuit Food Sovereignty

Building on the work of the ‘Inuksiutit: Inuit Food Sovereignty in Nunavut’ project, this event will be a celebration of Inuit food and Inuit food knowledge. Yellowhead will host Inuit Elders, and leaders in Inuit food sovereignty to discuss their community’s work on the Inuksiutit project, including community-based videography and photography to document hunting, harvesting, and food processing and preparation. This Yellowhead Fire will include the opportunity to taste Inuit food delicacies.

Our featured guests include Martha Jaw, Rhoda Katsak, Joshua Katsak, Jabez Katsak, Joseph Murdoch-Flowers, and conversation will be moderated by Jessica Penney.
