Actua Network
The Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS) is a proud member of the Actua network, Canada’s leading STEM outreach organization.
Each year, Actua reaches over 375,000 youth in more than 600 communities across Canada with transformative science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) programming. At FEAS, our participation in this national network allows us to break down barriers to STEM education, offering hands-on, accessible, and culturally relevant learning experiences for youth who are underrepresented in STEM fields.
As one of over 40 university- and college-based members, FEAS contributes to Actua’s mission of radically and relentlessly removing barriers to STEM, while advancing our own commitment to equity, innovation, and inclusive education.

Our Partnership at a Glance
In 2025, thanks to $70,000 funding from Actua and its national partners, FEAS Outreach and Stoodis Science are delivering free, high-impact STEM programming across the Greater Toronto Area. This year our digital literacy and AI education, in-community workshops, on- campus events, summer camps, and year-round programming for educators will include:
- InSTEM programming centred on Indigenous ways of knowing, co-developed with Indigenous leaders and educators
- All-Girls programs like Go CODE Girl, FuturENG, and Global Changemakers
Engineering Competition - Black Youth in STEM workshops in partnership with community organizations
- Professional learning for educators, equipping teachers to champion STEM in the classroom
All programs are offered free of charge and delivered both on-campus and in community, ensuring broad, equitable access.
“Actua is proud to support TMU’s leadership in expanding their commitment to inclusive STEM education. Their programs are consistently innovative, community-centered, and align with Actua’s vision of unlocking the infinite potential of youth.”
