FEAS is home to a rich and diverse community of innovators, entrepreneurs, leaders and problem-solvers; engineers and architects working to address the great challenges facing society today.

In 1950, Engineering and Architectural Draughting students became some of the first alumni of the new Ryerson Institute of Technology. As we welcome a new generation of change-makers, and a new name, into the world of post-secondary education, we are proud to celebrate the impact of trail-blazers who came before us, and to inspire creative and curious minds to reach even greater heights.

It is my goal to ensure that every one of our graduates leaves us with the skills, knowledge and passion to make a difference, and we will strive to ensure that anyone who dreams of changing their world has access to first-class opportunities throughout their career.

I encourage you to stay connected to Toronto Metropolitan University and FEAS – take advantage of the benefits that being part of the TMU community offers, and explore the many ways that you can support us in engineering a better future.

The Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS) at Toronto Metropolitan University has announced a new $70,000 partnership with Actua, Canada’s leading STEM outreach organization, to deliver inclusive, hands-on STEM programming for over 6,600 youth in 2025. Focused on equity and community inclusion, the initiative will reach underrepresented groups—including Indigenous and Black youth, girls, and students from underserved communities—through programs like InSTEM, Go CODE Girl, and Black Youth in STEM workshops. The collaboration will also support teacher training and outreach in low-income neighborhoods. Backed by Actua’s national network, the partnership underscores TMU’s operational commitment to equity in STEM education and will introduce youth-driven content in AI, cybersecurity, and sustainable engineering.
