Ryerson University’s Institute for the Study of Corporate Social Responsibility is pleased to present an online interactive zoom session, "Canada's Responsible Business Conduct Strategy Renewal--In Conversation with Global Affairs Canada's Chris Moran" (details below) on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, from 12 noon to 1:00 pm (Toronto time). Global Affairs Canada (GAC) is the Canadian federal government's Department responsible for the Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) Strategy (external link)  for Canadian companies abroad. GAC is currently undertaking consultations for the renewal of its RBC Strategy (they are encouraging your comments and ideas, until October 16 (external link) ).

As part of the outreach associated with the RBC Strategy renewal, we will be speaking with Chris Moran, who is the Director General of the Trade Portfolio Strategy and Coordination Bureau in GAC's International Business Development Branch. She is responsible for portfolio governance (Export Development Canada and the Canadian Commercial Corporation), Responsible Business Conduct policy and operations, free trade agreement promotion, continuous improvement within the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service and horizontal policy issues. Moderating the session will be Dr. Kernaghan Webb, Director of the Ryerson CSR Institute. The talk is co-sponsored by the Ryerson Corporate Social Responsibility Student Association, the Ryerson Commerce and Government Association, and the Ryerson Law and Business Student Association. Support for the "In conversation" sessions from the Trade Commissioner Service of Global Affairs Canada is also gratefully acknowledged.
