The TMU United Way campaign kicks off Monday, Oct. 2, and our whole community is encouraged to participate.

It's that time of year again - our campus is busy with students, faculty and staff welcoming each other back for the fall term. Each fall, our community participates in the United Way giving campaign and after three years of virtual activities, TMU is bringing our annual campaign back to campus beginning Monday, Oct. 2.

Community building is core to TMU’s values. The annual giving campaign is one way we can make a difference in our neighbourhood as the United Way of Greater Toronto supports more than a dozen agencies and service providers (external link)  just down the street from campus. Our partnership helps us work towards our vision for an equitable, inclusive Toronto.

Soon we will be reaching out to you about TMU’s 2023 United Way campaign. This year, we’re happy to have a team joining the CN Tower ClimbUP challenge (external link) , and are bringing back events like Chillin’ on Gould and the President’s luncheon.

As we prepare for the start of the campaign, we hope that you will consider participating in some of the United Way events on campus, supporting our ClimbUP team, volunteering as campaign ambassadors, and other fundraisers to help us reach our fundraising goal of $80,000.

To learn more, please visit the volunteer page.

I look forward to seeing you on campus in the coming weeks and seeing our community rally together to support United Way and our neighbours.
