Quantitative Nursing Research
The contribution of quantitative research within the positivist paradigm to the development of nursing as art and science is examined. The relationships between quantitative research knowledge, and practice are explored, as well as mixed-methods designs. Computer technology supports the search of the nursing and health-related literature relevant to quantitative studies. Students will learn to analyze quantitative data, interpret and critically appraise quantitative studies, to apply findings to evidence-based practice, and to identify future research topics.
