TD Apprentice Training Program
With generous support from TD Ready Commitment, Chrysalis is proud to launch the TD Apprentice Training Program. This program is designed to equip emerging talent with the skills, mentorship, and hands-on experience needed to take their careers to the next level in technical production. This program is part of Chrysalis' ongoing commitment to training the next generation of leaders in live entertainment production, offering unique opportunities to work in a multidisciplinary and large-scale venue at the heart of Toronto's creative sector. Through experiential learning and direct collaboration with top industry professionals, participants will gain invaluable insights and real-world expertise, helping to build a more inclusive and resilient arts and culture ecosystem.

Are you a current TMU student that's interested in gaining hands-on training experiences and employment opportunities with Chrysalis? Here are some ways to get involved:
Career Boost
The Career Boost Undergraduate program offers job opportunities for eligible full-time domestic undergraduate students at TMU. Opportunities at Chrysalis include roles in technical production, producing, front of house, and marketing. Applications are now open for the Fall 2025 & Winter 2026 term.
Students interested in the Career Boost program must apply through the Recruit Students portal and obtain eligibility approval before starting work. For any questions or issues, please email careerboost@torontomu.ca.
Internships/Creative Practice Hours
The Creative School offers both mandatory and optional internship and work placement opportunities across various programs. Students gain hands-on experience through professional field placements aligned with their studies, typically requiring a minimum of 240 hours during the Fall, Winter, or Summer terms.
To explore possible internships/creative practice hours with Chrysalis, reach out to your program’s internship coordinator, academic advisor, or program director.
Call for Ushers
Looking to get involved with Chrysalis and experience innovative work up close? We’re seeking ushers on an ongoing basis to assist with live performances, with both paid and volunteer positions available. This is a great opportunity to gain live event experience and see what’s happening at Chrysalis.
