This intimate gathering honours the legacy of the Congress of Black Writers and the Combahee River Collective through a space of reflection, production, and intergenerational solidarity.

Designed for Black PhD students, postdocs, CUPE lecturers with academic aspirations, assistant professors, and associate professors, this full-day event features generative writing circles grounded in coaching and critical inquiry.

Participants will strengthen their scholarly output. Together, we’ll write, reflect, engage in critical conversations, and strategize on how to navigate and transform the academy.

Space is limited – come ready to write, build, and vision in community.
