![]() ![]() Inclusive, culturally competent practice Our faculty is committed to inclusive education and culturally competent nursing practice. We believe that every student who enters the program can make a unique and valuable contribution to the nursing profession. Social and cultural clubs and events The social side of higher education is not only a good stress release, it's a way to gain a better understanding of the communities in which we live, work and play. |

Diversity A city of the world A major strength of our program is the diversity of the people who are part of it. The student population of the three schools reflects both the broad culture of the city and the world beyond, and we have an increasing enrolment of men in the program. As well, our students join the program with a vast array of work experience and education - from high-school graduates to mature students from a variety of occupations. This diversity provides an excellent forum for student nurses to develop skills and a world-view to allow them to practice in many places and roles. Ryerson, Centennial, and George Brown all support a range of multidisciplinary social and cultural clubs. In addition, the city itself offers many opportunities to explore culture and society.
