Grrls Meet in Different Ways Now
Space is an unstable time-based construct. It is defined by movement and observation. Time lags and delays that are part of its network infrastructure make the real time of telecommunication events operating within several nows and wheres. Middle space is as much about the virtual/mediated space as the physical/local spaces from which they are derived.

The encounters presented in "Grrls Meet in Different Ways Now" are conceptual explorations of time delay, feedback and multiple representations of actions and temporalities composed together in a common landscape.

In this online performance, a private meeting takes place in the middle space. Software allows us to create a composite of various media inputs from two geographical locations in a common virtual workspace. The performance is not public; it is not interactive; it is not accessible.

A photograph documents each artist's interpretion of this live performance, and the moments of shared screen space are exhibited in a real time and place. The meeting becomes a performance of experience and location.
