concept: posthumanism Posthumanism is a philosophical concept that explores and debates the possibility
for evolution beyond the notion of humanism.�
Postmodernism has been concerned with the concept of the posthuman because it questions
assumptions underlying the human as
a category. Posthumanism probes ideas like (im)mortality, invincibility, and
embodiment. When discussing the notion of
technology forming prosthetic extensions for humans, posthumanism is often

team up to create an �eyecam� prothestic eye that contains a video camera for
Spence who lost his eye at the age of eleven.�
