This project will consist of video/animation and still image projections. It will be designed to explore relationships between texts, primarily between the grid system of Toronto and historical and personal narratives in both written and verbal forms. By layering animated photographic aerial images of the city (the sequencing will emphasize the grid system and suggest movement) with voices of people and a narrator as well as written documentation, the relationships of density to texts will be explored. As the city becomes more dense near its core, the narratives will become an incomprehensible noise (visually and verbally).
