Name Change to Urban Water Research Centre
The Standing Strong (Mash Koh Wee Kah Pooh Win) Task Force has recommended that the institution currently known as Ryerson University be renamed as part of PDF file22 recommendations made to acknowledge and address the legacy of Egerton Ryerson. The President and Board of Governors have approved the motion to accept all 22 recommendations. An Advisory Committee has been assembled to guide the process of identifying a new name for the university. Recommendations will be submitted to the university leadership for consideration and decision before the end of this academic year 2021-2022. In solidarity with the Indigenous community we will refer to our research centre as the 'Urban Water Research Centre' until the university is renamed.
Updates on the renaming process can be found on the Next Chapter webpage.
