Replace Your Card
Important notice:
For the Fall 2022/Winter 2023 semesters, all exterior campus building doors are locked and require a OneCard to gain access to the interior of campus buildings. This means that all incoming students (or returning students who may not have accessed campus previously) must apply for their OneCard as soon as possible. You can do so using the online OneCard application portal. Once your application is approved, you can pick up your OneCard by visiting the OneCard Office at POD-48. If you have any questions about applying for a OneCard, please contact that OneCard Office at onecard@torontomu.ca.
Your Student OneCard is one of the most important tools you’ll need while at TMU. If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, you will be responsible for the cost to replace the card. This includes if you damage the card by punching a hole in it, wash it or knowingly scratch it.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a replacement OneCard, students must be enrolled in at least one course in the current semester or, if during the summer semester, must have course intentions in MyServiceHub.
How to replace your card
If you lose your OneCard, it is critical that you report it lost or stolen as soon as possible. You are responsible for any unauthorized transactions resulting from the theft or loss of your card.
Act fast to protect the funds on your card
You are responsible for any unauthorized transactions resulting from the theft or loss of your card. If you are able to deactivate your card quickly enough before someone else uses it, you won’t lose the money on it.
Students can quickly freeze funds using OneCard eAccounts. Just log in and mark your card as lost by deactivating it under Card Services. All funds will remain frozen until reactivated at the OneCard Office. However, if your card is found, it can still provide door access to secured buildings and rooms the card has been authorized for. To protect from unauthorized door access, please contact the OneCard Office to freeze your card entirely.
If you’re able to deactivate your card using eAccounts, it’s still important for you to report your OneCard missing to the OneCard Office as soon as you notice it is gone to protect from unauthorized door access and someone using it as their own ID.
Notification occurs once you have reported your lost/stolen card to the OneCard office, at which point it will be deactivated.
To report your card lost or stolen, you can take one of three options:
Option 1: Call or email and clearly indicate your full name and student
Phone: 416-979-5000, ext. 557565
Email: onecard@torontomu.ca
Option 2: Log in to the TMU Mobile app and select “Report Lost/Stolen”
After you have reported your OneCard lost or stolen, you should get a replacement. You will be responsible for the cost to replace the card. This includes if you damage the card by punching a hole in it, wash it or knowingly scratch it.
