Ariel Yang

Ariel Yang (she/they) is a Creative Producer, Line Producer, Production Manager, and Writer with broadcast network and production work experience. A Toronto native, Ariel has worked on cross-cultural teams at various points in her career while living in Hong Kong, Beijing, and her hometown of Toronto.

Most recently, she was the Production Manager for the web series Gay Mean Girls (external link) , Season 2 (2022). Prior to that she was the Line Producer on the feature film, Mother Of All Shows (2022), co-written and directed by Melissa D'Agostino, starring D'Agostino herself and Wendie Malick (Just Shoot Me!, Hot In Cleveland). She is currently line-producing Paige Darcy (2023), a comedy feature film written by and starring Alice Moran (Sunnyside, Decoys).

As a Creative Producer, she is in Pre-Development with Chinese-Canadian Creator & Writer, Alice Wang, on a YA digital web series.

On the broadcast network side, she was a Content Executive for Warnermedia (Asia Pacific Region), working the regional content team to develop animated kids shows for the Cartoon Network Asia and Boomerang brands. Prior to her time at Warnermedia, Ariel was working in the Programming department for Canadian specialty cable television channel, VisionTV, learning skills in business affairs.

Outside of her TV & Film career, Ariel is also a hobbyist electronic music DJ under the handle “bighotbeach”, a Co-Founder for internet radio station TrueConnection.fm (external link) , and sits on the Board of Directors as Vice President for the TRANZAC (Toronto Australian New Zealand Club), a cornerstone performing arts venue in Toronto. Ariel also enjoys satirical absurdist comedy, adult animated sitcoms, live stand-up, and takes improv classes in her free time.
