About The Catalyst
The Catalyst represents a distinct change of culture for SRC at The Creative School.
We are the first large-scale space dedicated to scholarly, research, and creative (SRC) activities within The Creative School. Located on the 2nd floor of the Rogers Communication Centre, The Catalyst houses SRC projects, labs, and centres under one roof. We bring brilliant minds together from across all schools in The Creative School to explore, innovate, and impact the world we live in. The Catalyst serves to support potential, emerging, and ongoing projects coming from our researcher-creatives and their collaborators.

Its nine schools and eighteen research centres make up a dynamic SRC ecosystem in which faculty and students work closely with community and industry partners to engage in path-breaking initiatives dedicated to real-world transformation.

The collaborative work of its faculty and students intervenes in society’s most pressing challenges, which require creative agility and exceed the capacity of any single discipline and any one individual. The Creative School is home to bold creatives who are pushing the potential of new technologies to activate more accessible maker cultures, change sector practices, vitalize social movements, and bring more sustainable and equitable futures into being."
