Future of Sport Lab appoints Katie Cheesbrough as New Head of Operations

Ted Rogers School of Management’s Future of Sport Lab, external link (FSL), a collaborative lab and incubator for sport innovation and related research, announced today that sport executive Katie Cheesbrough, external link, opens in new window has been named its new Senior Manager and Head of Operations.

In the newly created role, Cheesbrough will be responsible for managing incubator programming and partnerships. This includes the management of FSL’s custom sport incubator experience and network. Since its inception in 2018, FSL has helped emerging sport tech start-ups and innovators accelerate their business. Cheesbrough will be managing the application and selection process for FSL’s highly anticipated new cohort program starting this Spring.

Cheesbrough brings more than 15 years of experience in strategy, operations, marketing and philanthropy, working with some of Canada’s top sport companies, charities and brands including the Canadian Olympic (Committee) Foundation, Canadian Tire Jumpstart and Relate Social Capital.
