Student Groups

Toronto Metropolitan's science community alone has over 25 special interest groups – from gaming and robotics to pre-med and women in STEM. Many more groups exist across campus. From ethnicity to spirituality to hobbies, find a group where you belong.

Peer Mentoring

Learn the ropes in first year. Toronto Metropolitan's Tri-Mentoring program can match you up with an upper year student in your program. Get help to successfully navigate university life and your academic program.  

Course Unions

Every science program has its own course union. These student-run unions represent the voice of students in each program. Have a say in academic matters related to your program, or even run for student office. Find your program's course union.

Science Lounge

Study, eat, chat, relax. The Science Lounge is s shared space where science students can hang out between classes. Collaborate together or grab a cubicle for private study. Your Toronto Metropolitan OneCard gives you full access at Kerr Hall 223.  

Recreation & Athletics

Get fit and have fun. Toronto Metropolitan recreation maintains fitness centres, studio, courts, pools and more. Join classes and clubs for everything from climbing and jiu jitsu to equestrian, fencing and dragon boat racing.  

SciXchange

Share your passion for science. SciXchange is your chance to give back through public outreach and volunteering. Help increase science literacy in the community. Promote experiential learning. Have a part in making science more accessible.

Zone Learning

Offered only at Toronto Metropolitan, Zone Learning is about innovation and entrepreneurship. Thousands of students have created hundreds of start-up ventures. There are 10 different zones to explore, including the Science Discovery Zone and Biomedical Zone.
