FoS10: Celebrating a decade of discovery as the Faculty of Science
Message from the Dean
2022 marks the 10th anniversary year for the founding of the Faculty of Science and I couldn’t be happier and prouder of our accomplishments.
Over the past decade, we’ve developed thriving programs in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Chemistry and Biology — with BSc, MSc and PhD programs in every department. Our scholarly, research and creative activities have expanded in breadth, depth and impact, and we have grown significantly in research funding and output. Our vibrant co-curricular presence through SciXchange and the Science Discovery Zone are diffusing science throughout the community and fostering real-world innovation. We have amazing alumni (including our first $1 million donor) and tirelessly committed staff supporting all our activities. None of this would be possible without ten years of fantastic students in our midst.
We’re very excited to celebrate FoS10 in 2022, and we have special events planned throughout the year. Come join us (virtually or in person) as we commemorate ten years of growth and ring in the next decade of science at Toronto Metropolitan!
