How do I join the RSPP?

If you are interested in registering in our database, enter your contact information below and hit SUBMIT or call us at (416) 979-5000 x4987.

Once we hear from you, we will provide more information about registration and research participation to help you decide about joining our database. If you decide to register, we will conduct a brief confidential background questionnaire over the phone. This questionnaire helps determine your eligibility for specific studies. After we collect this information, your name will go in our database and you will be called for particular studies.

What's involved in a study?

If you are eligible for a particular study, a researcher will contact you and he or she will give you specific information regarding the nature of the study, the type of tasks involved, and the time commitment. All participants will typically be compensated $10.00/hour for their participation, although an additional honorarium may be given for certain studies.

You can then indicate whether you would like to volunteer for that particular study. If you want to volunteer, you and the researcher will book an appointment that is suitable for both of you. If you do not want to volunteer for that particular study, your name will go back into our database for future studies. This system allows for you to volunteer for the studies you have time for and feel most comfortable with. Further, you are free to permanently withdraw your name and information from our database at any time.
