Graduate Fees & Funding

Tuition for the Master of Professional Communication program is assessed by the term and not by the number of courses you take per term. Tuition is a yearly charge, which is broken into three equivalent payments for the three terms in a graduate academic calendar. For more information see Graduate Study fees., opens in new window

Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) provides financial support in the form of scholarships, awards, and assistantships for as many full-time students as possible. Scholarships and awards are offered on a competitive basis, so the number awarded in any year varies, depending on academic performance.

There are a number of scholarships, fellowships, and bursaries available to TMU graduate students from the federal and provincial governments, private foundations, and other organizations.

MPC candidates are eligible for:

  • (formerly) Ryerson Graduate Fellowships (RGF)
  • Ontario Graduate Scholarships (OGS)
  • Ontario Graduate Fellowships (OGF)
  • Canada Graduate Scholarship Master’s (CGS-M) (SSHRC) – Deadline December 1

Opportunities for Graduate (teaching) Assistantships (GA) are available each year. MPC students work as graduate teaching assistants in numerous undergraduate ProCom courses.

Dean’s Award for Best Overall Performance

This award is given to the graduate student with the highest overall GPA, upon completion of the MPC program.
