Donatus Oguamanam

Dr. Donatus Oguamanam, PhD, PEng

At the Department of Mechanical, Industrial, and Mechatronics Engineering, our students strive for more, not only in their studies but also in their approach to the world of technology. And that world moves at lightning-fast speed. To meet the demand for increased productivity and efficiencies, both mechanical and industrial engineering have become hubs of unprecedented growth. Taking cues from industry, we’ve adapted our program offerings to include interdisciplinary teachings in fields like data analytics in industrial engineering and mechatronics, a third-year option that applies programming, computation and microprocesses of robotics to the foundations of mechanical engineering.

Across both disciplines, our students put theory into practice through team-based competitions and real-world experiences. We’re proud to have a strong participation rate in our co-operative internship program, with placements across a wide range of sectors: technology, energy, finance, manufacturing and health care, to name just a few.

If you’re looking for a career that’s in high demand and ever-evolving, explore the options we have available to you. We’re ready when you are.
