Indigenous Student Wellness Days

Springs flowers

Each year, Indigenous Student Services hosts Indigenous Student Wellness Days. All First Nations, Inuit, Métis, Canadian Indigenous students, faculty or staff (or those who identify by nation or community) from any post-secondary institution across Turtle Island are welcome to attend.

2023 theme: Finding Your Focus

The theme Finding Your Focus relates to the efforts of finding our way back to wellness, through activities promoting self-care (of the spiritual, emotional, physical and intellectual) to find balance despite the outside challenges we continue to face in the world today.

This event brought together Indigenous community members to exchange meaningful routes to wellness through meditation, yoga, mental health and wellness strategies, and food sovereignty. The workshops hosted by knowledge keepers and community members helped support the goals of wellness for students, staff and faculty at Toronto Metropolitan University.
