Additional Leaves

You may be entitled to leaves of absence from the workplace under the Employment Standards Act; some of which are unpaid by the university and may or may not be subject to employment insurance (EI) payments, depending on your individual circumstances. These leaves include:

  • critical illness leave
  • domestic or sexual violence leave
  • extended pregnancy leave
  • family medical leave
  • child death leave
  • family responsibilities leave
  • bereavement leave
  • sick leave
