Processing Holiday Pay
By default, employees in this group will be paid for the public holiday based on the Employment Standards Act entitlements (this depends on number of hours worked prior to the public holiday).
When entering information in eHR, the employee/manager should not enter hours for the public holiday, unless the employee actually worked that day. If an employee works on the public holiday, these hours should be entered as overtime at the rate of 1.5 times their regular hourly rate. The employee will be paid public holiday pay consistent with the Employment Standards Act, plus the hours entered as overtime.
