Indigenous Employee Services

Three Ryerson employees walking through the Quad.

With access to services specifically for Indigenous employees who are First Nations, Metis, Inuit and Indigenous Peoples of North America, working at TMU means bringing your whole self to work and learn.

Despite being the youngest and fastest growing demographic, expanding at two times the annual rate of the general population, Indigenous employees are the most underrepresented compared to equity-deserving groups in higher education and the workforce, according to national employment statistics. Additionally, the most recent  (PDF file) TMU Diversity Self-ID report showed that Indigenous employees group has the smallest number of employees at the university, with only 1% of employees identifying as Indigenous Peoples.

As the university works to reduce systemic barriers and increase representation of Indigenous Peoples among faculty and staff, we welcome applications from First Nations, Metis, Inuit and Indigenous Peoples of North America.
