Grace Leong

Grace Leong has been appointed to Toronto Metropolitan University as a Board of Governor for three years, effective June 24th, 2021.

Grace immigrated to Canada in the 1980s. Before moving to Canada, she was a lecturer in Economics with the University of East Asia, Macau (now known as University of Macau). After immigrating to Canada, she worked in the banking industry in Canada for about 10 years including TD bank and RBC Financial.

In between TD to RBC, Grace took on a new challenge for a Chinese financial media “the Chinese Economic Times” in Toronto as Director of Marketing and New Product Developments. In 1995, she launched the first of five North American stock market investment reference books in Chinese language and organized the largest Chinese financial forums in Canada.    

Due to family involvement in real estate, Grace joined a real estate business in 2013 and is currently with Right at Home Realty Inc. as a sales representative.    

Grace has been a supporter of community work for many years and her community involvements include Amigu Di Macau, Chinese association of Mississauga and Chinese Cultural Center of Greater Toronto etc., Grace's volunteer work can help new immigrants integrating into Canadian society.  

For public service, she was a Council Member, retired in early January this year, for the College of Dental Hygienist Ontario. She was an Advisory Council Member for the Province of Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship from 2001 to 2004.
