Spring/Summer 2021
Virtual Summer Programs from our Partners Around the World
Many of our partner institutions around the world are offering virtual short-term summer programs in a range of subject areas and disciplines. These online courses offer opportunities for cross-cultural learning and professional development without having to travel. You may also be able to participate in language and culture studies programs.
Summer programs are generally regarded as 'short-term' programs that are distinct from exchanges. This means you pay tuition and/or program fees directly to the host institution.
How to Apply for Virtual Summer Programs:
Program requirements and application procedures vary by institution. Please visit the program websites, listed below, for further information regarding application guidelines.
Ryerson International does not play a role in the application process for the international summer programs.
Receiving Credit for Virtual Summer Programs:
If you wish to receive credit for completing an external, virtual, summer-program or course, it is strongly recommended that you complete the Letter of Permission (LOP), opens in new window process prior starting your course.
PLEASE NOTE: Some partners may be offering in-person summer programs. TMU has suspended all university-related, in-person activity for Summer 2021 (until August 31). Students who participate in an in-person summer activity will not be able to receive Transfer Credits through the Letter of Permission (LOP) process.
Cost of Virtual Summer Programs:
Students must pay program fees directly to the host university organizing the summer course/program. Some of the institutions listed below offer a discounted program fee to students who are from universities with whom they have an existing student exchange agreement with. You should check with the university directly to see if TMU is a partner and if you are able to access a discounted rate.
