The GCM Job Fair is an employer’s best opportunity to connect with determined students seeking summer internships or full-time career positions. Participation is free, but registration is required.

  • Tuesday, March 29, 2022 (Virtual Event) – INTERNS (1–3:30 p.m.)
  • Wednesday, March 30, 2022 (Virtual Event) – GRADS (1–3:30 p.m.)

Job Fair 2022 Registration Instructions for Simplicity

Registration Instructions

Please read steps 1-7 and view the video for easy registration:

  1. Beginning Feb 28 you can express interest in attending Job Fair and pre-register on this webpage.

  2. Sign up. Please have ready a Zoom link (or similar) and a full job description to post when registering. Wait for approval. Once approved, you can then complete your registration and post your job through our Symplicity software.

  3. When completing the 2nd phase of registration at the bottom where it provides an attachment - please attach your job posting in PDF format.

    Additionally, the person doing the interview (main contact for jobs) within your company should register. When registering, please register each location of the job if multiple exist (i.e. TC Transcontinental - Aurora; TC Transcontinental - Mississauga; Lowe Martin - Mississauga; Lowe Martin - Ottawa, etc.).

  4. We will then create a schedule and attach it to your job posting.

    Once students apply, you can go to Events tab (left) > Info Session (left) and view your applicants and their resumes. You can also click on the Reservations tab (top), and within your profile view your schedule as well as student resumes. Only if someone has applied will you be able to view a schedule.

  5. The deadline for companies to register is March 20, 2022. After this date Symplicity will not accept any more registrations. Please contact Taras (, opens in new window) if you wish to register after this date.

  6. Students can begin viewing postings on March 24 and register on March 27. Please be ready on your interview link for Interns on March 29 (from 1:00-3:30 p.m.) or Grads on March 30 (from 1:00-3:30 p.m.).

  7. If  you plan to hire a Grad & Intern, you may post a job then go into the initial posting you made and you can copy the registration (there is a copy link on top before you begin), but please make the changes needed by changing intern to grad (or vice versa) and change the posting if needed, add a new interview link.

About our GCM Students 

GCM students possess a diverse range of skills that provide value to employers in areas such as (but not limited to): marketing, graphic design, document design, eBook/ePub development, image retouching, digital image capture, print production, packaging design, project management, digital asset management, estimating and sales.

Graduating students are looking for full-time, career focused employment.

Internships are a mentoring relationship between the employer and a third year student. These paid positions begin at the end of April and continue until the end of August. Students typically seek full-time positions however, a minimum of 200 hours of work is allowed. Many students continue their internships on a part-time basis during the fall when school recommences, if the employer wishes.

Unfortunately, we are not able to send you the list due to last minute changes being made to interview schedules.

We leave the next step of the recruitment process to you. Some students are hired on the spot and while others are invited to attend a second round of interviews. If you have filled a position, we ask that you send a courtesy email to students who showed interest in the position but were not selected for the role.


Congratulations! Once an intern has accepted the offer, the onus is on the student to contact the school about their employment so that we can update their status and make arrangements for a site visit.
