Interviews can be nerve-wracking, but practice makes perfect! Mock interviews are an invaluable tool for building confidence and improving your interview skills. In this session, there will be live mock interview scenarios where we explore both effective and ineffective responses to common interview questions. Through these examples, you’ll get a sense of what works, what doesn’t, and how to improve your approach in a real interview setting. This interactive session is designed to help you gain practical insights into the interview process and to better prepare for your own future interviews.
Throughout your academic career at TMU, there will be many Employer Information/Recruitment Sessions for students to attend. In this session, learn from the recruiter's point of view on what background/skills they seek as they screen candidates for hiring managers. You will also gain insights on common mistakes to avoid, learn how to assess an employer's mission and company values, and receive tips and strategies for making a strong impression. This session will equip you with valuable information to help you stand out and succeed in the competitive job market.
Can your resume stand out against 50 other applicants to get you that interview spot? In this session, you will learn how to elevate your professional profiles and gain valuable insights from experts who will provide personalized feedback to make your resume shine. Our session is designed to enhance your resume's impact to stand out in a competitive job market. Learn the art of effective self-presentation, and increase your chances of landing that coveted internship or co-op position.
Instead of your selfie photo, use a professional headshot for your LinkedIn! In this session, you will have the opportunity to have your photo taken by a photographer.
We highly encourage you to wear business casual attire for this conference.
