In honour of Trans Awareness Month, join the Toronto Metropolitan University Libraries and Positive Space as they guide you through a curated collection by trans authors, researchers and activists. You’re invited to explore new books, videos and more, and commit to actions that support a trans-inclusive environment.

At your own pace throughout the month of November, you’ll be able to participate in this asynchronous book club, with a variety of options. All materials will be available for free to students, faculty and staff via the TMU Libraries. The broader community is welcome to read and watch their selections from this list.

November is Trans Awareness Month 

Throughout the month, university community members are invited to participate in advocacy and educational events that celebrate, honour and raise the visibility of the trans community. We also honour the memory of trans people whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence on November 20 for Trans Day of Remembrance. 

Programming organized by the Positive Space Faculty and Staff Network

The Positive Space Faculty and Staff Network is a volunteer staff and faculty community network for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions at the university. Positive Space is committed to creating and maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
