Research Centres
Directed by English faculty members, these centres aim to expand knowledge through interdisciplinary projects, preservation of artifacts, research and analysis.
Housed in 415 Yonge St. in downtown Toronto, Modern Literature and Culture Research Centre is dedicated to the research and preservation of early twentieth-century literary documents, images, and artifacts.
Located on the fourth floor of Toronto Metropolitan University Library, the Centre for Digital Humanities engages in collaborative transdisciplinary scholarship, research, and creativity at the critical intersection of the material and the digital, contributing to knowledge about cultural objects, makers, and communities.
The Children's Literature Archive at Toronto Metropolitan University came to be thanks to an initial donation of several hundred books in the summer of 2009. It now contains over 1500 texts for children written primarily between the late nineteenth century and the mid-twentieth century, the cataloguing of which has recently been completed.
