From scholarships to assistantships and external awards, the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS) offers many options to help you fund your graduate education. FEAS Graduate Scholarship

At $5,000, the FEAS Graduate Scholarship for international PhD students serves to offset the differential between international and domestic tuition. Students are automatically considered at the time of admission, so no application is required. Renewal of the award is contingent on research progress and availability of funds.

Esch Awards

Have an idea for a product or technology, but lack the funds to make it a reality? Explore what the Norman Esch Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship Awards have to offer. Exclusive to current FEAS students, the Esch Awards provide financial assistance in support of initial ideation, development, and the final market-readiness phases of entrepreneurial endeavours.

Indigenous and Black Engineering and Technology (IBET) Momentum Fellowship

Valued at $30,000 per year over four academic years, the IBET Momentum Fellowship provides financial assistance for up to two full-time FEAS PhD students who self-identify as Indigenous or Black. FEAS Graduate Studies Travel Fund

The FEAS Graduate Studies Travel Fund provides recipients with up to $1,000 to cover the cost of travel, accommodation, registration fees and other expenses related to attendance, the program gives students the opportunity to showcase their work, disseminate cutting-edge information and make industry connections outside of the university.  For more information on selection criteria and how to apply, visit Graduate Student Funds.

The Honourable George W. Vari Friendship Awards

Valued at $5,000 each, four awards (two per award) are available annually to full-time FEAS graduate students. Applicants must demonstrate civic leadership in engineering, or diversity. FEAS Indigenous Graduate Student Support Fund

Providing financial assistance of $5,000 for the academic year, the fund is aimed at supporting an outstanding full-time graduate student who identifies as an Indigenous person in Canada, including First Nations, Métis or Inuit. FEAS Fellowship for Double Degree

If you choose to obtain your double degree with Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HsKA), you may qualify for one of four $9,000 fellowships from FEAS. For more information, visit FEAS’s International Double Degree page.

Stalin Boctor Award

Valued at $4,000, the Stalin Boctor Graduating Student Award is given to a full-time FEAS master’s student who has demonstrated financial need, as well as academic excellence in their fourth year of undergraduate studies. CUPE Funds

For current members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE-3), such as graduate assistants, teaching assistants and lab monitors, two sources of funds are available: the $150 Unit 3 General Assistance Fund (external link)  and the $350 Unit 3 Health Spending Account and Enrollment Claim Benefit (external link) .

XGSU Graduate Travel Grant

The travel grant program is intended to assist graduate students with costs associated with travel, accommodations, and conference registration related to academic work.
