Electrical Undergraduate Scholarships & Awards
Each year, Toronto Metropolitan University and the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science (FEAS) offer numerous entrance scholarships to incoming students who are accepted into an engineering program. The university and the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering also offer awards for students who continue studies in their respective programs after first year. There are unique eligibility criteria for each of the entrance scholarships and awards available to current students. More information on this can be found below.

| Adam William Ross Loucks Award | This scholarship provides financial assistance to an undergraduate student of the electrical or computer engineering program who is an active member of a student group and has a minimum CGPA of 3.67. The student must also demonstrate financial need. |
| Brosz Forensic Services Inc. Scholarship | This award benefits the third-year electrical engineering undergraduate student with the highest marks in the theory and lab work in sensors and measurement. The successful student must also have a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and will be selected based on the recommendation of the faculty member who teaches ELE 724 CMOS Mixed-Mode Circuits and Systems. |
| David Platnick Memorial Award | Selected based on recommendation by the thesis committee, this award recognizes a student who demonstrates excellence in their fourth-year thesis project. |
| Dimitri Klimow Memorial Scholarship | Recognizing a first-year student on the FEAS Dean’s List, this scholarship is awarded based on academic performance. |
| Ed Towgood Award | This award celebrates ingenuity, originality and innovation in a fourth-year thesis in the area of communications. Preference will be given to topics of audio, video, radiofrequency technology or another emerging communications field. |
| Gordon and Agnes (Twambley) Brash Award | Students who are eligible for a grant or loan from the Ontario Student Assistance Program and have a GPA of 3.50 or higher will be considered for one of five awards, as determined by their program and year of study: one first-year student in computer, electrical or biomedical engineering; one second-year student in computer, electrical or biomedical engineering; and one third-year student from each program of the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering. |
| Ingenium Group Jack Lemay Memorial Award | Selected from the FEAS Dean’s List, the recipient of this award will have a CGPA of 3.0 or higher in third year of the electrical or computer engineering program. |
| Jack Roy Longstaffe Memorial Scholarship | Awarded to a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and a full-time undergraduate student in the electrical or computer engineering program, this scholarship is dependent on a minimum CGPA of 3.50 and financial need, as demonstrated through a written personal letter. |
| Michael Stechly Memorial Award | The recipient of this scholarship must have completed second or third year in the electrical or computer engineering program and made the FEAS Dean’s List for the academic year. |
| Po Keith Achievement Award | Recognizing academic achievement in the first year of studies, this is awarded to a second-year electrical or computer engineering student who has a minimum CGPA of 3.67 and can demonstrate financial need. |
| Professor Frank Juranka Memorial Scholarship | Selected by the faculty member who teaches ELE 637 Energy Conversion, the recipient will be a third-year student who has demonstrated excellence in energy conversion. |
| Walter Anderson Award in RF Communications | This award benefits a fourth-year electrical or computer engineering student who has shown competency in courses related to radiofrequency wireless propagation theory and practice during their third year of studies. The recipient is chosen by the faculty member who teaches ELE 635 Communication Systems. |
