The SDZ currently offers three different courses for credit. Click on each link below for more infomation.
SCI888: Evidence-Based Innovation
An open-credit course where students* get the opportunity to take leadership over their learning by applying their skills to tackle industry-relevant challenges. Throughout the course, students are also able to connect directly with working professionals and industry experts to receive mentorship and get exposure to different career pathways.
*Students from all programs are welcome to apply. Check with your department for restrictions.
CKIH200: Science Mentorship
This certificate course provides science students* with insight, mentorship, and the opportunity to strengthen their transferable skills so that they’re better prepared for the next step in their career/academic journeys. This course is graded on a pass/fail basis.
*This course caters to science students in 3rd year and above.
SCI999: Research Practicum
Looking for research experience? This non-credit practicum provides undergraduate students the opportunity to work with a research team at TMU. A student who wants to enroll in this practicum must first identify a faculty member with whom they wish to work and then ensure the faculty member agrees to act as a supervisor before enrolling in this practicum. This course is graded on a pass/fail basis.
