Spring/Summer Term

Chang School Courses
As an undergraduate student, you may enrol into courses at the Chang School of Continuing Education and they will apply toward your undergraduate degree requirements (opens in new window) . If you are enrolling into Chang School courses you should be aware that Chang School course enrolment and drop deadlines (opens in new window)  differ from undergraduate deadlines, and payment is due at the time of registration.

Transition Programs
Engineering and science program students who are interested in participating in the Science Transition or Engineering Transition programs should review the respective webpages for enrolment information and important dates. Science Transition course fees are due May 19, 2023, and Engineering Transition course fees are due May 23, 2023 for spring and July 10, 2023 for summer courses.

Undergraduate Courses
While the majority of spring/summer term courses for undergraduate students are offered through the Chang School and transition programs, some programs may offer spring/summer undergraduate courses. Please note that these courses follow the dates on the Significant Dates and Drop a Course pages. The Tuition Fees for those courses are due May 5, 2023.

Courses at Other Institutions
Apply for a Letter of Permission to request approval to take courses at another post-secondary institution, and apply the credit back to your TMU program upon successful completion.

Spring/Summer OSAP
OSAP funding is available to students who enrol into courses over the summer months. For information on application types, eligibility, and deadline dates, visit 2023 Spring/Summer OSAP at TMU. As always, we recommend that you apply and submit any required documentation early to receive your funding promptly. Be sure to check for updates via your OSAP Message Centre.

Getting Ready for the Fall Term

Course Intentions
Participation in course Intentions is mandatory for all undergraduate students in full-time programs. If you haven’t submitted your course intentions for both the fall 2023 and winter 2024 semesters, or you need to adjust them, you can do so during the upcoming course intention adjustment period from May 10 through May 12, 2023

Renewable Entrance Scholarships
If you received an entrance scholarship or renewal during the previous 2022-2023 academic year, please review the entrance scholarship terms and conditions to confirm the renewal eligibility criteria. Note that to be eligible for renewal, you must complete your course intentions and enrol into an 80% course load for the fall 2023 and winter 2024 terms.

Proof of Enrolment Letters
Proof of enrolment letters for the upcoming school year will be available to request on MyServiceHub starting May 15th, for students who have completed their course intentions.

Apply for OSAP
OSAP applications for the upcoming 2023-2024 academic year are expected to launch sometime in May or June. For updates, stay tuned to the OSAP website (external link, opens in new window) . Once available, be sure to apply and submit any required documents (outlined on your OSAP portal) as soon as possible to ensure that you receive your funding for the start of the fall term. We recommend that you apply by July. For official deadline dates, visit OSAP Important Dates and Deadlines at TMU.

Program Withdrawals
If your plans for next fall change and you intend to temporarily or permanently withdraw from your program, you must submit a withdrawal request. This will ensure that you are not enrolled into your classes, and that you avoid any tuition fee charges or negative academic standing impacts.
